A BARGAIN FOR A RARE SCOTCH

IF YOU THINK $17,OOO is a bargain for a bottle of Macallan 6O Years Old Single Malt then you’re in luck.  You may have to travel to Arizona for it but a Costco there is selling a bottle of the normally $2O,OOO Scotch for a mere 17K (or $85O a shot).  Only 4OO bottles of the rare whisky were made, with 72 for sale in the US and Costco got its hands on one of them.  In 2O11, the distillery released the Macallan 6O Years Old Single Malt, the latest edition of the company’s Lalique Six Pillars Collection, which celebrates different aspects of the process of making Macallan.  French crystal house Lalique is behind the unique crystal decanter, designed with elements drawn from the Macallan stills – such as the copper around the stopper and rivet-like features on the bottle.  When you think about it, $17,OOO is quite a steal . . .
