KEVIN O’NEIl, currently President, US Spirits & TBA
National Accounts and Sales Development, has been appointed to the
newly-created role of President & Chief Commercial Officer. The
creation of this role will create a comprehensive commercial team that
will set the strategic sales and route to market agenda and provide
trade marketing for Diageo’s North America sales teams. In this
position, O’Neil will have the opportunity to expand his influence
across the total US and Canadian commercial teams, and will help to
connect brand marketing, innovation, trade marketing, sales, and
distributor management. With O’Neil’s move, the responsibilities of
managing the sales function will be led by MARK HUBLER, President, US Spirits Control States & TBA National Accounts, and Pete Carr, currently President DGUSA Sales, who has been appointed to the newly-created role of President, US Spirits Open States.
Also, Diageo has appointed GAVIN PIKE to the role of Global Brand Director for Johnnie Walker. Pike is currently Marketing and Innovation Director with Diageo’s venture, Brandhouse Beverages, in South Africa. The announcement follows a recent change in Diageo’s global marketing department which saw previous Johnnie Walker Global Brand Director DAVID GATES appointed to the role of Global Category Director for whisk(e)y. Pike’s transition will be effective when his replacement is appointed.
