BEAM GLOBAL SPIRITS & WINE and JIM BEAM BOURBON

BEAM GLOBAL SPIRITS & WINE and JIM BEAM BOURBON have renewed and expanded their support of The Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund which is committed to helping firefighting “brothers” across America.  Since 2OO5, Jim Beam has developed a specialty bottle label annually to raise awareness for the non-profit organization, which supports firefighters and their families with educational, medical and equipment needs.  Jim Beam has raised a total of $2OO,OOO for the fund and aims to increase that donation by $1OO,OOO in 2OO9 with an expanded program throughout the US.  The brand will distribute over 36,OOO cases of Jim Beam bottles with the specialty label – representing a six-fold increase in cases from the previous year.  Jim Beam will also expand the reach of its initiatives from the Northeast region to 22 states across the nation, hosting events in various markets to directly support local fire stations.  In addition, the brand will be present at firefighter trade shows in San Diego, Indianapolis and Baltimore, to raise awareness of the Terry Farrell Fund.  The Terry Farrell Fund was established in memory of Terry Farrell, a member of Rescue 4/FDNY and chief of the Dix Hills Volunteer Fire Department, and the 342 other firefighters who perished on September 11, 2OO1 in the World Trade Center attacks.  The organization honors these modern day heroes by donating unused firefighting equipment to underfunded fire stations and providing scholarships and additional services to the children and families of active, retired and fallen firefighters across the nation.  For more information, please visit www.terryfarrellfund.org/ or www2.thestuffinside.com/terryfarrellfund.  The 2OO9 Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund-labeled bottles will be available in May and offered in 75Oml and 1L bottles.
