SAM ADAMS CELEBRATES 25 YEARS

Hard to believe but Sam Adams Boston Lager hit the big “two-five” on Patriot’s Day. ANCHOR BREWING COMPANY SOLD

This sale came as a surprise to many. Fritz Maytag, the washing machine heir who launched the microbrewery movement, has sold Anchor Brewing Company  in San Francisco to a pair of Bay Area entrepreneurs, Keith Greggor and Tony Foglio, who plan to preserve and expand the iconic brand. ON-THE-JOB BEER PERKS ARE OVER

There aren’t many jobs where you can actually drink beer while you work. But at the Carlsberg brewery in Denmark, imbibing beer on the job was a long-standing benefit . . . until now.
